What’s New in the Costpoint 8.2.8 Release

Costpoint 8.2.8 enhances project and contract visibility through the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) and the integration of automation, alongside usability improvements, streamlining everyday tasks for increased efficiency. Additionally, this Costpoint release offers added flexibility, allowing users to opt-in to new features during a designated testing phase, facilitating a seamless transition to the latest version.

Here are a few feature highlights:

  • NEW Costpoint AI Assistant*This innovative AI functionality offers you a personal assistant, enabling you to inquire about your personnel or projects and swiftly retrieve information and insights from various sections of Costpoint.

  • NEW Smart Summaries™ in CRM & Contracts*Generate Contract Smart Summaries effortlessly with a single click. This generative AI-powered summary encompasses essential details such as contract and customer names, crucial financial metrics, and subcontractor information, significantly reducing the time required for reporting on contract status.

  • Expanded Interactive Email Functionality for Timesheets* –With the release of 8.2.8, users can now submit their timesheets via email. Supervisors also have the ability to approve timesheets through email.

* Not currently available for GovCon Cloud Moderate (GGCM) customers.

Deltek is also prioritizing providing flexibility for customers to adopt new features at their own pace. To facilitate this, Deltek is offering Costpoint administrators the ability to opt-in to specific new features using the Manage Opt-In Features application during a designated testing period.

  • Customers are encouraged to enable features in their non-production systems to conduct testing prior to enabling the feature in their production system.

  • Opt-in features will be disabled by default. When you are ready, you can enable one or more of the features by turning them on in the application.

  • Opt-in features will be optional during a defined period of time, then automatically enabled in all systems on a set date; that set date is outlined in the Manage Opt-in Features application.
